 Michael Jackson's life history

Michael Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. He was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, and passed away on June 25, 2009, in Los Angeles, California. He is widely considered as one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

Jackson began his career as a child in the Jackson 5, a Motown group consisting of him and his four older brothers. The group became successful with hits such as "ABC" and "I Want You Back". Jackson later embarked on a solo career and released his first solo album, "Off the Wall," in 1979, which produced hit songs such as "Rock with You" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough."

His 1982 album, "Thriller," became the best-selling album of all time, with hits such as "Beat It" and "Billie Jean." Jackson's unique style of dance, including his signature moonwalk, became his trademark and a defining characteristic of his performances.

In addition to his music career, Jackson also appeared in several films, including "The Wiz" and "Moonwalker." He was also involved in humanitarian efforts, including co-writing the charity single "We Are the World" in 1985.

Jackson's personal life was often the subject of media scrutiny, including his changing appearance and allegations of child sexual abuse. He was married twice, first to Lisa Marie Presley and then to Debbie Rowe, with whom he had two children.

Jackson died at the age of 50 from an overdose of propofol and benzodiazepine, which was ruled as a homicide. His death was a shock to the world and his legacy continues to influence music and pop culture to this day.
